SeaWide Express Becomes More Precise
SeaWide Express concentrates on shipping freight to 3 markets – Hawaii, Alaska, and Guam. Shipments arrive from all over the U.S. at SeaWide’s west coast warehouses and are then expertly consolidated mostly for ocean-going vessels. Critical to the process is new technology that facilitates the absolute correct measuring and weighing of all freight which ensures fair rates.
To that end, SeaWide has added new automated dimensioning technology in its warehouses to make the handling of less than container load (LCL) parcels and packages more precise, more accurate, more transparent, and more documented.
With SeaWide’s new “Dimensioner” technology capabilities, packages for consolidation go through a 3D scanning process which documents actual size, dimensions, and weight. Also, built-in cameras record bar codes, package condition and placement within containers. All of the data is then saved and can be shared for documentation and review by customers, shippers and carriers which can minimize claim issues – historically less than 0.3% for SeaWide Express.
The result is that SeaWide customers benefit from improved parcel documentation, an improved container consolidation process, complete documentation of every item and a stored data record of the entire process.
SeaWide Express is ahead of their competitors with this newly developed technology. It doesn’t add any additional cost, and it actually improves the speed and accuracy of package delivery.
Book your next shipment to Alaska, Hawaii or Guam and take advantage of the new dimensioning technology that SeaWide Express offers.
